Students Thrive. Families Connect. Communities Grow.
Palmetto Pathways Academy uplifts, inspires, and supports learners as they chart their own paths and gain the knowledge, skills, and attributes that ensure their success and positive contributions in our ever-changing world.
We are a free public charter school designed to ignite the brilliance in every young person. Serving learners across South Carolina in grades 6-12, PPA empowers learners to reach their full potential through learning experiences that help them discover their interests and achieve their goals.
At PPA, we understand learning doesn’t only happen in school and real-world knowledge and skills are best acquired in the real world. That’s why we created South Carolina’s first learner centered ecosystem – a school without walls that partners with the community to connect young people to learning experiences that align with their interests and their own visions for their futures. PPA is proud to partner with Big Picture Learning © and Education Reimagined © as pioneers of Learner-Centered education.
Students complete online coursework, collaborate with peers in live classes, and attend academic support sessions.
Learners stay connected through regular meetings with their advisory groups and peer collaboration that takes place both at our in-person regional learning innovation hubs and online.
Students gain real-world experience in the real-world through work-based learning in career fields of their choosing.
Students will leave Palmetto Pathways Academy with a solid academic foundation, workforce
experience, strong collaboration skills, adeptness in the responsible use of artificial intelligence, confidence in their abilities and next steps, and ready to take on the world.
Enrollment will open for students in grades 6-8 in February 2026.
