Dr. Mallika Stubbs, Member

Dr. Mallika Stubbs is a veteran educator and Transformation Coach with more than twenty years of experience in education.

Dr. Stubbs has distinguished herself as a trusted advisor, development coach, and facilitator. Throughout her career, she has successfully guided numerous educational institutions in navigating complex challenges, fostering growth, and enhancing overall effectiveness. Dr. Stubbs is an expert in leadership training and development, she employs multiple innovative strategies and evidence-based practices designed to engage her audience actively and promote a culture of learning. Her work emphasizes team building and understanding that a cohesive, well-functioning team is essential for success. She utilizes interactive workshops and hands-on activities to enhance collaboration and trust among team members. Dr. Stubbs holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and specializes in school transformation, leadership development, and capacity building. As a certified coach, she has a proven track record of increasing outcomes for schools and organizations by aligning purpose, performance, and productivity. Her work, which includes monitoring school improvement initiatives and implementing evidence-based strategies, has consistently led to improved educational and organizational outcomes, such as a 17-point increase in overall report card performance and a 20% increase in graduation rates.

Michele Klein, Member

Michele Klein is an award-winning educator, certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Google Certified Trainer, and education leader with a master’s degree in administration and supervision.

She brings 12 years of experience in K–12 education, including nearly a decade in virtual learning environments, specializing in educator effectiveness, assessment, and accountability.  Michele has supported initiatives to strengthen teacher evaluation systems, improve data-driven practices, and enhance school improvement planning. She has coached hundreds of educators, managed large-scale assessment operations, and presented at national conferences. Michele also works with educators and leaders to integrate AI and instructional technology into their workflows, focusing on practical solutions that enhance efficiency, support teaching practices, and improve learning outcomes. Her work focuses on building sustainable systems, improving professional practice, and using data to drive student success. Michele’s leadership is grounded in collaboration, continuous improvement, and a deep commitment to helping others succeed.

Dr. Henry Tran, Member

Dr. Henry Tran currently serves as Associate Professor of Education Leadership and Policies in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina (USC).

He has also served as the Co-Director of the Center for Innovation in Higher Education and the Director of the Talent Centered Education Leadership Initiative. Dr. Tran has taught numerous classes with USC, including Data-informed Decision MakingAdvanced Educational Policy AnalysisSchool Finance and Business Management, and Field Problems in Educational Administration, to name a few. Dr. Tran has published eight books and numerous book chapters, articles, etc. on a wide range of topics related to education and educational leadership. Dr. Tran holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education with an emphasis in School Organization and Educational Policy in addition to Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society of Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.  

Doris Chaplin, Secretary

Doris Chaplin is a former nursing professor for Midlands Technical College (MTC). During her time at MTC, she developed the first associate degree nursing (ADN) program designed to prepare students for more advanced educational pursuits in nursing, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. In designing the program, Doris collaborated across multiple institutions in South Carolina to ensure the program prepared graduates who were qualified to pursue advanced coursework. Key to the program’s success was the design and organization of the RN to BSN Career Advancement Expo, which, under Doris’s leadership, was awarded a $10,000 grant, providing graduating nursing students with the opportunity to pay for courses towards their Bachelor of Science in nursing degree (BSN). In addition to her higher education teaching experience, Doris also brings experience in program design, planning, and logistics.
